How big are the tour groups?

Those who arrive for a Docent-led tour will be broken into groups of six to ten visitors.

Can I just walk around the Garden on my own?

Yes!   When making your reservation choose a self- guided visit and you may explore the Garden at your own pace.

After a Docent-led tour, can I walk around on my own?

Docent-led tours are two hours long, filling your entire visit.

Visitors may not walk around on their own after a docent tour as we hold to firm exit times for all reservations.

Yes, wheelchairs and walkers can be accommodated on a slightly modified tour. If you or a member of your party use a wheelchair or walker, please inform a Visitor Services staff member at the time you schedule your tour or select the proper boxes when making your reservation online. Docents and Lotusland volunteers are not permitted to push wheelchairs.
