Well-being at Lotusland
Nature restores us and promotes a sense of well-being. Join us for an opportunity to engage with nature and experience the Garden with a fresh perspective. We encourage participants to make an additional reservation for the afternoon tour to extend the Garden experience.
FOREST BATHING, originally developed in Japan as shinrin-yoku, refers to the practice of immersing all your senses in the healing forest as you connect with the natural world. Join ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide Elena Rios for an immersive experience in the Garden. Elena draws inspiration from her grandmother, who was a Curandera as well as her partnership as a cultural practitioner with Japanese Shinto Priest, Hiroji Seikiguch. She is an indigenous Azteca Chichimeca woman of the Americas, with distant genetic Chumash links multiethnic Spanish, and Scot-Irish ancestry.
Elena Rios
Elena Ríos is an ever evolving ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide and Inter-disciplinary Artist. From an early age, Elena’s family cultivated in her an interest in the exploration and appreciation of nature and the more-than-human world. Elena Continues to participate with traditional circles of learning, wellness, and ways of being that are rooted in Indigenous knowledge.
