Lessons from Lotusland: Pollination and Plant Dispersal Strategies
Wednesday, August 13
5:30 – 6:30PM PST

“Plants cannot move, which sets up a problem – how to move gametes (genetic material) between individuals of one species, and then how to move the product of fertilization (seeds) away from the parent plant. Consequently plants have evolved a range of fascinating pollination and dispersal mechanisms which enhance the color and diversity of our gardens.

This engaging webinar, presented by Dr. Bruce Tiffney, will explore the diverse strategies that plants use to reproduce and attract pollinators. This presentation will take you on a journey through Lotusland’s living collections, highlighting key examples of these interactions and adaptations.

Reserve your space now for this free program to learn more about pollination and plant adaptations, and to support Lotusland’s mission!”
