Garden Conversations
Join us for the first Garden Conversations series of 2026 as we tour Lotusland’s expansive Dunlap Cactus Garden.
Led by Paul Mills, Director of Conservation and Curator of the Living Collections, this intimate, members-only experience offers an opportunity to dive deeper into the history of this remarkable collection, bequeathed to Lotusland in 1966 by Merritt Dunlap and transported to Lotusland beginning in 1999. You’ll spend the morning learning about the challenges of maintaining the collection and enjoying a firsthand look at the garden’s notable species, along with the chance to ask questions of the staff who know the garden best.
This event is designed for members who are already familiar with Lotusland and wish to deepen their understanding of its living collections. Engage directly with the experts who steward this extraordinary garden and gain insight into the meticulous care that preserves its legacy.
Paths may be uneven so please wear appropriate footwear.
Reservations required and space is limited to 15 participants. For questions, please call 805.969.9990 or reserve online.
