Natural Fabric Dyeing Workshop

Learn how to dye silk scarves with plant-based dyes! Join Lotusland’s Assistant Curator, Anna Bower, for a lesson in dyeing with loquat (Eriobotrya japonica) from Lotusland and woad (Isatis tinctoria). Participants will learn resist techniques for making patterns in fabric and receive a mini-lesson in dye extraction from plants along with instructions for basic natural dyeing.
