SUMMARY:PALMA STUDIO Grief Retreat with AmarAtma
DESCRIPTION:Public Event On-Site \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nMembers & Non-Members: $600 *This retreat is alcohol and substance free.*Accomodations available upon request. *Adults Only*This retreat is non-refundable and non-transferrable.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\nReserve Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWell-being at Lotusland \n\n\n\nGrief Retreat with Palma Studio \n\n\n\nJoin PALMA Colectiva and Twin Hearts for a day of grillwork and healing at Lotusland Garden led by Grief and Letting Go Coach AmarAtma. Learn about grief work and apply skills and techniques to heal and release old grief. In doing so\, we lighten the load\, creating a greater capacity for possibility and opportunity in your life. Grief is an under-acknowledged and underestimated problem within our society today. But grief is not only a response to death. It’s a response to any significant change or end of something familiar. The impasse of transitions\, the deaths of old selves\, the endings of a chapter in life\, or the evolution of changes as we grow older bring many invisible losses in the form of a type of grief that’s important to know: ambiguous grief. This is grief that is based on intangible and abstract losses that don’t have a clear-cut definition like death. These losses sit like a vague abstraction within your being but are indeed a grief response that requires acknowledgment and healing. In this retreat we will work with and honor all types of grief including direct loss and ambiguous grief.  \n\n\n\nThe Retreat Includes: \n\n\n\n\nSix hour day retreat\n\n\n\nOrganic farm to table meals and snacks\n\n\n\nAll workshops by AmarAtma\n\n\n\nAn intimate and safe space\n\n\n\nGrief + Release Ceremony\n\n\n\nPrivate access to Lotusland\n\n\n\nSinging Bowl Meditation\n\n\n\n\nIn this retreat\, you’ll learn to: \n\n\n\n\nAcknowledge and identify direct\, invisible and ambiguous grief.\n\n\n\nParticipate in guided workshops to process grief through various techniques.\n\n\n\nApply learned skills to heal and release old grief\, creating space for new possibilities.\n\n\n\n\nWhen it comes to grief\, you don’t know what you don’t know. We tend to grieve by moving on\, pushing past\, and rejecting the importance of things in life. Letting go is thought of as a chopping block of detachment that doesn’t release anything and instead compartmentalizes the pain that the body will have to process through chronic pain\, exhaustion\, and low immunity. There’s another way. Grief work can be an answer. Grief work is self actualizing work. Experience emotional healing\, renewed energy\, improved relationships\, and a sense of purpose and direction in life. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nAmarAtma\n\n\n\nAmarAtma is a Grief Coach with advanced certification as a Grief Recovery Specialist. He currently offers 1:1 virtual grief coaching teaching and helping grievers to cope and release emotional pain.

This year will mark Colin’s 20th vintage as a whole\, ranging from Leeuwin Estate in Margaret River to Martinborough Vineyards in the North Island of NZ.We source wines in close proximity to the sea and strive to produce clean\, acid driven wines of minimal intervention using natural yeasts and bacteria; neutral French oak\, bottle unfined and unfiltered to promote transparency between glass and vineyard. Rita Hills enjoys sun-drenched days giving way to nights cooled by the Pacific Fog that envelops our vines and provides the extended hang time for our grapes.  \n\n\n\nPeake Ranch has a wonderful history full of special people who roamed the land. Before John and Gillian Wagner fell in love with and purchased the property in 2013\, the ranch was owned by famed Western artist Channing Peake in convoy with his prize stallion Driftwood. Peake memorialized cowboy life on the ranch through his legacy artwork collection. The historic bunkhouse\, a Santa Barbara County landmark notably portrayed in the film Sideways\, is also significant to the property’s storied heritage\, popularizing red wine varietal Pinot Noir.  \n\n\n\nAbout Wynne Sargeant \n\n\n\nWynne Sargeant grew up in Sonoma County\, in the town of Windsor\, and fell in love with the wine culture there. Being raised by a teacher and counselor\, her pursuit of winemaking was her own path\, stemming from a passion for chemistry and cooking. She moved down to the Central Coast to study Wine and Viticulture at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 2010. She began making wine with Stephen Ross Winery in the Edna Valley and moved to the Sta. Rita Hills to continue pursuing cool climate winemaking with Melville Winery. Wynne joined the Peake Ranch team in 2018\, inaugurating the new winery and tasting room with the 2019 harvest. Her vision for Peake Ranch is to focus on the unique attributes of this area while emphasizing balance in Californian wines.
