The Blue Garden features plants with silvery to blue-gray foliage. Blue atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica Glauca) and towering Chilean wine palms (Jubaea chilensis) stand above a ground cover planting of blue fescue (Festuca ovina var. glauca) and Senecio mandraliscae. A few other silvery to blue-gray foliaged plants add accents, particularly Mexican blue palm (Brahea armata).
At the back of the Blue Garden are Queensland kauri (Agathis robusta), bunya-bunya (Araucaria bidwillii), and hoop pine (Araucaria cunninghamii), all conifers from Australia. There are also two camphor trees (Cinnamomum camphora), native to China and Japan.
The paths of the Blue Garden are lined with a green glass slag which can also be found in many of the other shady gardens at Lotusland. It was obtained from an Arrowhead Spring Water bottling factory, which sold the slag it chipped out of its kilns.
